Tony Pistello, Jr.

Tony Pistello, Jr., 69, of Omaha, Nebraska passed away Sunday, December 28, 2025 at his home surrounded by his family.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, January 24, 2026 at Prairie Hills Community of Christ, Omaha, Nebraska with Pastor Eva Bachman, officiating. A live stream of the service will be posted on the Goslar Funeral Home website with Tony’s obituary. Burial will be held at a later date in the Hillcrest Cemetery, Decatur, Nebraska. Arrangements are under the direction of Goslar Funeral Home and Monuments, Onawa, Iowa.

Tony Joseph was born August 15, 1956 in Omaha, Nebraska, the son of Tony and Frances (Lastovica) Pistello. He received his High School diploma and furthered his education. Tony worked for Werner Enterprise as a Fleet Operations Manager for many years.

Tony and Tamala Wolf were united into marriage May 28,1983 at the Omaha Central Community of Christ. To this union three children were born, Joel, Rachel and Sarah.

Tony enjoyed woodworking, model trains, and had a talent for finding lost treasures. Throughout his life, he held many fond memories of countless weekends at the family’s island cabin, shared with and enjoyed by many family members and friends. Tony was actively involved in Cub Scouts as a Den Leader, Boy Scouts, and Toastmasters.

Tony was a former Pastor and Congregational Financial Officer for the Community of Christ Church in Omaha, Nebraska.

Survivors include his loving wife of forty-two years, Tamala Pistello of Omaha, Nebraska; children, Joel (Kayla) Pistello, Rachel (Tyler Houghton) Pistello, and Sarah (Ethan Anderson) Pistello; grandchildren, AnnMarie Pistello and Andrew Pistello; father-in-law, Dale Wolf; sisters, Nancy (David) Rutherford, Carrie (Bill) Holz, and Becky (Don) Hanson; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his father, Tony Pistello; mother, Frances (Lastovica) Pistello; and mother-in-law, Alta (Walter) Wolf.
