Timothy Wayne Deen

Timothy Wayne Deen, 60, of Whiting, Iowa passed away Saturday, October 15, 2022, at his residence.

A funeral service will be 10:30 A.M. Tuesday, October 25, 2022 at the Whiting Christian Church, Whiting, Iowa with Pastor Cody Deen and Pastor Josh Nink, officiating. A live stream of the service will be posted on the Goslar Funeral Home website with Timothy’s obituary. Burial will follow in the Hite Cemetery in Whiting, Iowa. A visitation will be at 9:00 A.M.-10:30 A.M. Tuesday, October 25, 2022 at the Whiting Christian Church, Whiting, Iowa. Arrangements are under the direction of Goslar Funeral Home and Monuments, Onawa, Iowa.

Timothy was born August 8, 1962 in Onawa, Iowa, the son of Billy and Marjorie (Wahlstrom) Deen. He grew up on a farm near Whiting, Iowa, where he attended high school. After, high school Timothy went on to WITCC in Sioux City, Iowa for mechanics.

Timothy and Merrie Nutt were united into marriage February 13, 1985.

He drove truck for Peter’s Construction in Onawa, Iowa for many years. Timothy worked at John Morrells, Koch Ag, and Ansco Seed for many years.

Timothy enjoyed many things including hunting, cleaning deer, fishing, golfing, and watching NASCAR. Out of those hobbies he really enjoyed his dog Roxie and spending time with his grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife, Merrie Deen of Whiting, Iowa; two children, Jeremy (Kisa) Deen of Onawa, Iowa and Jennifer (Nick Black) Deen of Salix, Iowa; grandchildren, Kyler Deen, Tinley Deen, and Cash Black; parents, Billy and Marcena Deen of Whiting, Iowa; siblings, Rick (Lynne) Deen of Whiting, Iowa, David (Charlene) Deen of Onawa, Iowa, Terry Deen of Whiting, Iowa, and Jerry (Kelly) Deen of Dewey, Oklahoma, brother-in-law, Tom (Jackie) Nutt; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

He was preceded in death by mother, Marjorie Deen; father in-law, Harold Nutt; mother in-law, Marjorie Nutt; paternal grandparents, Darrel Sr. and Opal Deen; maternal grandparents, Emil and Irene Wahlstrom; uncle, Darrel Jr. Deen; cousin, Lisa Deen; and friends, Curtis Richardson and Garry Clark.
