Terry Lee King

Terry Lee King, 63, of Onawa, Iowa, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, January 23, 2024, at his home in Onawa, Iowa.

A celebration of life will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday, February 17, 2024, at the Goslar Funeral Home Chapel, Onawa, Iowa, led by family members. A live stream of the services will be posted on the Goslar Funeral Home website with Terry’s obituary. The family requests all those attending to wear casual attire. A luncheon will follow at the Onawa Country Club, Onawa, Iowa. Burial will occur when Terry’s wife, Karen passes away. Arrangements are under the direction of Goslar Funeral Home and Monuments, Onawa, Iowa.

Terry Lee was born March 20, 1960, in Onawa, Iowa, the son of Lyle and Mary (Funkhouser) King. He grew up in Onawa and lived in Onawa his whole life. Terry attended West Monona Schools.

Terry and Karen Davis were united in marriage on October 10, 2015, in Onawa, Iowa.

Terry worked for Labors Union in South Dakota for fifteen years. He also trimmed trees and mowed lawns for the elderly in the community.

He enjoyed motorcycles and diddle farting around. Terry lived life the way he wanted to.

Survivors include his wife, Karen King of Onawa, Iowa; siblings, Pam Vail of Loveland, Colorado, Lyle “Butch” King of Onawa, Iowa, Lila Heilman of Onawa, Iowa, and Elizabeth “Liz” King of Whiting, Iowa; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Lyle and Mary (Funkhouser) King; and sister, Julie Huntley.
