Shirley Kay Klein, 68, of Little Sioux, Iowa passed away on Thursday, January 22, 2026 at her residence.
A Celebration of Life Visitation will be held from 3:00 P.M. – 5:00 P.M. on Sunday, February 1, 2026 at the Goslar Funeral Home Chapel, Onawa, Iowa. Burial will be held at a later date in the Little Sioux Cemetery, Little Sioux, Iowa. Arrangements are under the direction of Goslar Funeral Home and Monuments, Onawa, Iowa.
Shirley Kay was born October 3, 1957, in Pisgah, Iowa, the daughter of Clarence and Darlene (Baxter) Carbaugh.
Shirley Carbaugh married Garry Klein on January 20, 1977. To this union one daughter was born, Kimberly.
Shirley found happiness in the everyday moments she held close to her heart. She loved spending her time with arts and crafts and baking, nurturing her flower garden, and taking quiet pleasure in watching her solar lights glow. Being a housewife was something she truly cherished, along with her coffee runs and the constant companionship of her beloved cats.
Survivors include her daughter, Kimberly (Rodney) Peasley of Onawa, Iowa; four grandchildren; Ashley (Eddie) Gray, Tyler Heilig, Dalton (Hannah Mace) Heilig, and Kaylee (Tucker Harl) Peasley; four great-grandchildren, Xavier Heilig – Cooper, Bentley Heilig, Bristol Heilig, and one on the way, Kingston Gray; sister, Rosemary “Rosie” Reed of Little Sioux, Iowa; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Darlene (Baxter) Carbaugh; husband, Garry Klein; and two brothers.
