Scott Bradley Goodvin, 48, of Sloan, Iowa, said farewell to this realm on January 9, 2022.

A private family funeral service will be held at the Goslar Funeral Home, Onawa, Iowa with Pastor Craig Bock, officiating. Burial will be in the Whiting City Cemetery, Whiting, Iowa. Arrangements are under the direction of Goslar Funeral Home and Monuments, Onawa, Iowa.

Scott was born May 26, 1973 in Sioux City, Iowa and grew up in the Sgt. Bluff and Sloan, Iowa areas. He graduated from Sloan’s Westwood High School in 1992.

Growing up, Scott was soft spoken and easy going, with talent leaning toward the artistic. He had a natural skill for drawing and loved to create his own comic book renditions of his favorite movie heroes. His love of science fiction and cosplay led him to become a member of the 501st Legion. Where he portrayed both a storm trooper and Darth Vader, for various sci-fi events and charity work. He loved fast cars, Star Wars collectables, hanging out at ACME Comics, and watching movies with his dog, Chewy.

He is survived by his mother, Jackie Goodvin; siblings, Amy (Goodvin) Mueller and Jeremy Goodvin; as well as, nieces, nephews, a great niece, and three great nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Virgil Goodvin; brother, Mathew Goodvin and nephew, Garret Goodvin.
