Ruben Mungaray

Ruben Edmund Mungaray, 84, of Elkhorn, Nebraska, passed away, Friday, June 13, 2025, at his residence.

A private burial will be held in the Onawa Cemetery, Onawa, Iowa. Arrangements are under the direction of Goslar Funeral Home and Monuments, Onawa, Iowa.

Ruben Edmund was born August 7, 1940, in Mammoth, Arizona, the son of Eduardo and Carmen (Valencia) Mungaray. He worked for the Alascom Telecomm phone company and later for AT & T in Anchorage, Alaska. He retired in 1998.

Ruben and Delores Mungaray were united in marriage on February 14, 1975, in Tucson, Arizona.

The couple moved to Elkhorn, Nebraska, in 2018.

He enjoyed big game hunting, golfing, and traveling. Ruben was a member of the Moose Lodge for several years.

Survivors include his son, Edmund Mungaray; grandchildren, Sarah Mungaray and Teo Shannon; two sisters, Louvida and Elaine; and one brother, Armando.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Delores Mungaray.
