Roland Dean Heisterkamp

Roland Dean Heisterkamp, 64, of Onawa, Iowa, formerly of Blencoe, Iowa passed away Friday, December 24, 2021 at MercyOne Siouxland Medical Center.

A memorial visitation will be 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. Tuesday, January 4, 2022 at the Rush Family Chapel, Onawa, Iowa. A private family memorial graveside service will be held with Father Michael Erpelding, officiating. Burial will be in the Graceland Cemetery, Blencoe, Iowa. Arrangements are under the direction of Rush Family Care Service, Onawa, Iowa.

Roland Dean was born June 29, 1957, in Onawa, Iowa, the son of Roger Joseph and Mary Joanne (Molle) Heisterkamp.

He was a farmhand, a small engine mechanic, and loved to be a handyman. Roland enjoyed reading, hunting, fishing, camping, and history. He was of the Catholic faith.

Survivors include his children, Joseph Edward (Katelyn) Heisterkamp of Onawa, Iowa, and William Nicholas Heisterkamp of Onawa, Iowa; brothers and sisters, Rhonda (Wayne) MacClure, Barbara (Fred) Petty, Stanley Heisterkamp, John Heisterkamp, Rodney Heisterkamp, and Douglas (Jodi) Heisterkamp.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Roger and Joanne (Molle) Heisterkamp.
