(Pettibone) Brede on November 26, 1992.  They were married almost 20 years until Virginia’s death on October 13, 2012, from Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia.

Roger was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Paul, Jr who died at birth, wives Mary Lou (Fountain Topf) Wulf, Sandra (Dunlop) Topf, Virginia (Pettibone Brede) Topf and daughter Lisa (Topf) Messerschmidt.

He is survived by his sister Valeria Longmeyer of Omaha, Nebraska, and her children Charles Scott of Omaha, Nebraska, and Paula Jean Reisland of Logan, Iowa; five stepchildren: Gieselle AB Fest of Liberty, Missouri; Greg Brede of Nixa, Missouri; Georgia Ipsen and husband David of Nixa, Missouri; Gordon Brede of Aberdeen, South Dakota; and Ginger Pietz and husband Russell of Aberdeen, South Dakota; 13 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and many other family and friends.
