Robert Lewis White, 61, of Onawa, Iowa, formerly of Omaha, Nebraska, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, May 27, 2025, at his residence.
A funeral service will be held at 3:00 P.M. Thursday, June 12, 2025 at the Goslar Funeral Home Chapel, Onawa, Iowa with Chaplain Julie Rolfes, officiating. Burial will follow in the Onawa Cemetery with Military Honors provided by the United States Army and the David McNeill American Legion Post #129, Onawa, Iowa. Arrangements are under the direction of Goslar Funeral Home and Monuments, Onawa, Iowa.
Robert Lewis White was born March 26, 1964, in Omaha, Nebraska, the son of Robert White and Lois Lewis. Robert served in the United States Army.
Robert worked at Cyrgus where he was a truck driver and worked in delivery. He also worked as a shift supervisor for Aksarben Roofing, in Omaha, Nebraska for many years.
He enjoyed drawing, crafts, and cooking. Robert loved spending time with his grandchildren; he was the “Best Grandfather”. He always was willing to give anyone the shirt off his back and was uplifting, bringing joy to others. Robert was a very ornery prankster.
Survivors include his children, Daniel White, Andrew White, and Robin (Teddy) Mahoney; grandchildren, Teddy, Gabriella, Sophia Mahoney, and a baby boy on the way, and Charity, Caleb, Abby, Joy, Faith, and Elly White; special friend and mother of the children, Tammy Cooperrider; brother, Michael (Lisa) Comstock; sisters, Patricia Denton, and Kelli (Larry) Erickson; brother-in-law, Benny Brakebill; and many other relatives, and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert White and Lois Miles; sister, Christine Brakebill; and daughter, Glenda White.
