Randy Merle Eneboe 66, of Arthur, Iowa, formerly of Soldier, Iowa, passed away Saturday, February 14, 2026, at Horn Memorial Hospital, Ida Grove, Iowa.
A memorial visitation will be 9:00 A.M. – 11:00 A.M. Saturday, February 21, 2026, at the Goslar Funeral Home Chapel, Onawa, Iowa. A luncheon will be held at Buffalo Joe’s Roadhouse, Smithland, Iowa, following the memorial visitation. A private family burial will take place at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Goslar Funeral Home and Monuments, Onawa, Iowa.
Randy Merle was born on August 18, 1959, in Denison, Iowa, the son of Merle and Evelyn (Meseck) Eneboe. Randy grew up on a farm outside of Soldier, Iowa. He attended East Monona High School and was active in FFA and football. Randy graduated from the class of 1978. He was active in the National Guard from 1980-1983, and for one year in the Air Guard.
Randy and Patricia “Pat” Davis were united in marriage on May 23, 1987, at the Faith Bible Church, Mapleton, Iowa.
He helped many farmers over the years and trucked for over twenty-five years. While trucking when his children were small, Randy would take one of his children with him on the road during the summertime creating fun memories. Randy even became a worker at Buffalo Joe’s Roadhouse in Smithland, Iowa, for his son Joe, helping him out as a dishwasher or even as bartender.
Randy enjoyed his animals, especially his cats and dog. He had a passion for vintage cars; you could see him cruising around in his GTO. Randy liked to go fishing and hiking. Many people enjoyed visiting with Randy at Soldier Speed Stop and at Buffalo Joe’s Roadhouse. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Randy was a strong believer in his faith and enjoyed his bible studying with the Jehovah’s Witnesses.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia “Pat” Eneboe of Arthur, Iowa; two sons, Joseph (Amanda) Eneboe of Soldier, Iowa, and Travis (Jessy) Eneboe of Arthur, Iowa; four granddaughters; brother, Rod Eneboe of Charter Oak, Iowa; sister, Susan Eneboe of Carnarvon, Iowa ; mother-in-law, Kay Davis of Arthur, Iowa; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Merle and Evelyn (Meseck) Eneboe; daughter, Nicole Schmidt; brother, Ricky Eneboe; and father-in-law, Larry Davis.
