Nathan “Nate” Allen, 37, of Mapleton, Iowa passed away Sunday, May 10, 2026 due to injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, May 20, 2026 at the Goslar Funeral Home Chapel, Onawa, Iowa with Darren C. E. Goslar, officiating. A live stream of the service will be posted on the Goslar Funeral Home website with Nate’s obituary. Burial will follow in the Graceland Cemetery, Blencoe, Iowa. A luncheon will be held at the Onawa Country Club, Onawa, Iowa following the burial. A visitation will be 6:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M. on Tuesday, May 19, 2026 at the Goslar Chapel. Family and Friends are invited to share memories at 7:30 P.M. at the chapel on Tuesday, May 19, 2026. Arrangements are under the direction of Goslar Funeral Home and Monuments, Onawa, Iowa.
Nathan Warren Allen was born on March 8, 1989, in Onawa, to Bud “Little Bud” Allen and Patsy Jo (Madsen) Allen. He earned most of his credits through Woodward Academy and received his diploma from West Monona High School in 2007. In 2011, he became a certified welder at Wilson Trailer. Throughout his career, he worked for Saber Industries, Berry Lumber, and most recently spent ten years with Monona County Iron. Over the years, he designed and welded countless projects and creations.
Nate Allen and Jennifer McVey were united into marriage on February 8, 2012 in Onawa. To this union, two daughters were born, Adley and Timber.
Some of Nate’s favorite hobbies included hunting deer and pheasants with both bow and shotgun, riding motorcycles, and playing pool and darts. He dearly loved his dogs, Heather and Zeus. Above all else, his children were the most important part of his life. Nate was also an avid fan of the Kansas City Chiefs.
Survivors include his children, Adley Allen, Timber Allen, and Keira Nolan; his former spouse, Jennifer Gross; his sister, Tracy (Chad) Bell; two brothers, Jamie Allen and Heath (Heidi) Allen; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his dad, Bud Allen; mom, Patsy (Madsen) Allen; stepmother, Ranae Allen; grandparents, Joseph “Bud” Allen and Mary (Pauley) Allen and Richard “Junior” Madsen and Joan (Crosgrove) Madsen; uncle, Jack Allen; and sister-in-law, Stacey Allen.
