Michael Edward Pittet was born November 16, 1973, in Plainview, Nebraska, to Duane and Linda (Schoenauer) Pittet. He spent his childhood growing up on the family farm near Plainview, where he developed strong roots in the community. Mike graduated from Plainview High School with the class of 1992. After high school, he continued his education at the University of South Dakota and then later transferred to Northeast Community College.
Mike first worked for Petersen Ag Systems in Norfolk, Nebraska, before helping open the new location in Onawa in 2012, where he served as manager. He later joined New Coop as the site manager in Blencoe, a position he continued to hold at the time of his passing.
Mike Pittet and Brenda Gipple were united in marriage on June 19, 2021, in Plainview, Nebraska, celebrating their special day on the family farm.
Mike had a deep love for sports and especially enjoyed coaching his children and other kids in their various activities, taking great pride in watching them learn and grow. A devoted Nebraska Huskers football fan, he rarely missed a chance to cheer on his favorite team. Above all, Mike treasured the time he spent with his children and grandchildren, creating memories that meant the world to him. His passion for football also extended beyond the sidelines—he played on the semi-pro team, the Thunderbirds, in Norfolk, Nebraska.
