Maurice R. Hoffman, 61, of Omaha, Nebraska passed away Wednesday, February 25, 2026 at CHI Health Mercy Council Bluffs, Iowa.
A celebration of life service will be held at a later date in May in the Omaha area and a graveside service in the Onawa Cemetery, Onawa, Iowa. Arrangements are under the direction of Goslar Funeral Home and Monuments, Onawa, Iowa.
Maurice Raymond Hoffman was born July 18, 1964 in Fremont, Nebraska, the son of Emil and Marlene (Broeker) Hoffman. He graduated from Archbishop Bergan Catholic School in Fremont, Nebraska with the class of 1982. After high school, he attended Wayne State College, Lincoln School of Commerce, and served in the Army National Guard.
Maurice worked for UPS in the sorting department for over twenty years, where he was known for his dedication and strong work ethic. Outside of work, he enjoyed gaming and was a very interactive person who loved engaging with others.
Survivors include his sister, Theresa (Tom) Niewohner of Onawa, Iowa; brother, Phillip (Claudia) Hoffman of Tabb, Virginia; three nieces, Rebecca Silker, Stephanie Dickes, and Diane Hoffman; two nephews, Dylan Hoffman, and Brian Niewohner; aunts, uncles, and several cousins, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Emil and Marlene Hoffman.
