Mark Walker Obituary

Mark Walker, 68, of Blencoe, Iowa, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, at his residence.

A private family graveside service will be held at a later date in the Graceland Cemetery, Blencoe, Iowa. Arrangements are under the direction of Goslar Funeral Home and Monuments, Onawa, Iowa.

Mark Allen was born on March 2, 1956, in Onawa, Iowa, the son of Robert G. and Vera Mae (Thogersen) Walker.

Mark worked as an equipment operator along with his brother Kevin on power line construction for E. A. Patterson, around Iowa and several bordering states.

Mark was an excellent equipment operator and could operate almost any kind of equipment. He enjoyed traveling, working, and the time he spent with the locals having a cold one, after the whistle blew for the day. He also worked for many years as a welder for Westendorf Manufacturing in Onawa, and Coneco Fabrication Company in Blair, Nebraska.

Mark enjoyed helping his dad farm as a young man. He also enjoyed riding motorcycles, camping, fishing, and hunting with his friends and family.

Survivors include his sisters, Cheryl Green of Onawa, Iowa, and Charlene (Dave Deen) Walker of Onawa, Iowa; brothers, Bradly Walker of Blencoe, Iowa, and Kevin (Sandy) Walker of Sloan, Iowa; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Vera (Thogersen) Walker; and brothers, Clinton Walker and Ronald Walker.

Mark was a loving brother and was friends with many in the local community, and he will be deeply missed by all.
