Louise (Kratz) Campbell, 89, of Whiting, Iowa, passed away Saturday, February 1, 2025, at Pleasant View Care Center, Whiting, Iowa.
A memorial service will be held 10:00 A.M. Saturday, February 22, 2025, at the Goslar Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Jed Shermer, officiating. A recording of the service will be posted on the Goslar Funeral Home website with Louise’s obituary. Burial will follow in the Whiting City Cemetery, Whiting, Iowa. Arrangements are under the direction of Goslar Funeral Home and Monuments, Onawa, Iowa.
Louise was born April 16, 1935, in Missouri, the daughter of James and Viola (Clay) Gover. She graduated from Onawa High School.
Louise and Dearld Kratz were united in marriage on June 7, 1953, in Whiting, Iowa. To this union they had a daughter, Terri. Dearld passed away on October 10, 1989. Louise married Phillip Campbell in 2008. Phillip passed away in 2019.
Louise worked for Williams and Company in Onawa, for many years preparing taxes. She also enjoyed working on their farm near Whiting, Iowa.
She enjoyed collecting figurine elephants and boating at Okoboji, Yankton, and the river. Louise loved spending time with family, especially her grandchildren.
Louise was an active member at the Whiting Chrisitan Church.
Survivors include her daughter, Terri Kratz of Whiting, Iowa; granddaughter, Teresa Louise Alexander of Decatur, Nebraska; great-grandchildren, Damien LeRoy Bergman of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, and Zane Dearld Bergman of Whiting, Iowa; nieces, Penny Stanislav, Jackie Hathaway, Colleen Langenfeld, Lisa Sandin, Debbie Roberts, and Susie Reid; sister-in-law, Mary Jane Opland; and many other relatives, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her spouses, Dearld Kratz, and Phillip Campbell; parents, James and Viola (Clay) Gover; sister, Wilma (Howard) Hathaway; and brother, Edward Gover.
