Linda Kaye (Hall) Copple Obituary

Linda Kaye (Hall) Copple, 80, of Whiting, Iowa passed away Friday, March 4, 2022 at her residence.

A funeral service will be 10:30 A.M. Wednesday, March 9, 2022 at the Community Church of Christ, Sloan, Iowa with Pastor Kody Killian, officiating. A live stream of the service will be posted on the Goslar Funeral Home website with Linda’s obituary. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery, Albaton, Iowa. A visitation will be 5:00 – 8:00 P.M. Tuesday, March 8, 2022 with a prayer service at 7:00 P.M. at the Goslar Funeral Home Chapel, Onawa, Iowa. Arrangements are under the direction of Goslar Funeral Home and Monuments, Onawa, Iowa.

Linda Kaye was born March 9, 1941 in Onawa, Iowa, the daughter of Dennis Huff and Evelyn Ione (Olson) Hall. Linda attended Whiting School and Sloan High School where she graduated in 1959. During school, she was homecoming queen, sang in the sixtet and mixed octet, and enjoyed cheerleading.

Linda and Donald Ray Copple were united into marriage May 22, 1959 in Sloan, Iowa. To this union, three daughters were born, Tami, Denice, and Jody. Linda enjoyed farming and gardening with her husband, Donald. Donald passed away December 21, 2005 in Whiting, Iowa.

Linda was employed as a bookkeeper to a floral shop and local farmer. She later worked at MCI as a telemarketer for many years.

Some of Linda’s hobbies include: gardening, flowers, crocheting, reading, and word puzzles. She enjoyed watching NASCAR, HGTV and DIY T.V. shows. All of her family were very important to Linda. She enjoyed sewing clothes for her daughters, making Halloween costumes, and fancy barbie clothes. Linda loved spending time with her grandchildren, and they enjoyed having tea parties, craft projects, and making cookies together. Linda was an extraordinary mother to Jody and they shared a special bond. Jody passed away October 25, 2011.

Linda was a member of the Community Church of Christ where she enjoyed teaching Sunday School and Vacation Bible School.

Survivors include her daughters, Tami (Keith) Morton of Whiting, Iowa, and Denice (Tim) Graves of Sioux City, Iowa; grandchildren, Lucas (Katie) Morton of Whiting, Iowa, Megan (Grant) Garbe of Sioux City, Iowa, Sami Graves of Denver, Colorado, and Anna Graves of Sioux City, Iowa; great-grandchildren, Cadence, Ryatt, and Saylor Morton, and Aiden and Carter Garbe; brothers and sister, Terry (Ann) Hall, Charis (Jim) Lloyd, and Kent (Joanne) Hall; sister-in-law, Judy (Roger) Rentel; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Copple; daughter, Jody Copple; parents, Dennis and Evelyn (Olson) Hall; parents-in-law, Ray and Olive (Gulick) Copple; brother-in-law, Orville Tawzer; and nephews, Todd Hall and Wesley Lloyd.
