Linda Hazel Snodgrass, 76, of Cedar Falls, Iowa, formerly of Ralston, Nebraska passed away Wednesday, November 20, 2024, at Cedar Valley Hospice House, Waterloo, Iowa.
A funeral service will be 11:00 A.M. Monday, December 2, 2024 at the First Christian Church, Onawa, Iowa, with Pastor Clif Cockburn, officiating. A live stream of the service will be posted on the Goslar Funeral Home website with Linda’s obituary. Burial will follow in the Spring Valley Cemetery, Moorhead, Iowa. A visitation will be 5:00 P.M. – 7:00 P.M. Sunday, December 1, 2024 at the First Christian Church, Onawa, Iowa. Arrangements are under the direction of Goslar Funeral Home and Monuments, Onawa, Iowa.
Linda Hazel was born April 14, 1948, in Little Sioux, Iowa, the daughter of Charles and Hazel (McCue) Wallis. Upon Graduation from High School, Linda attended Barnes Beauty College of Cosmetology. Graduating in 1967, she began working in the local beauty salon in Pisgah.
On April 7, 1968, Linda was united in marriage to Daniel Dale Snodgrass at Moorhead Christian Church in Moorhead, Iowa. They were married for 52 years until Daniel’s passing in 2021.
Linda and Daniel Lived in Nebraska City, Nebraska and started their family. In 1977 They moved to Ralston, Nebraska where Linda lived for the next 48 years, creating lasting friendships and countless memories. Linda stayed at home and was very involved with her boys’ school and scouting activities for many years. Linda also worked at US West and Design Basics in Omaha. She went back to school and graduated in 2008, with a bachelor's degree in marketing from Bellevue University.
In the spring of 2022 Linda moved to Cedar Falls, Iowa where she was active in community activities and church groups.
Linda was a very energetic and outgoing person in every aspect of her life. She loved to travel and talked often about her trips to Paris and Florida. Linda also enjoyed attending her grandchildren’s music, school, and sporting events. She also loved to dance, decorate and entertain.
Linda was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Survivors include her children, Dalt (Lisa) Snodgrass of Cedar Falls, Iowa, and Kole (Amanda) Snodgrass of Lincoln, Nebraska; grandchildren, Sebastian Snodgrass, Bray Snodgrass, Holden Snodgrass, Jake Snodgrass, and Lexi Snodgrass; and many other relatives, and friends.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband of fifty-two years, Daniel Snodgrass; parents, Charles and Hazel (McCue) Wallis; brother, George Wallis; and her grandparents.
Memorials may be directed in Linda’s memory to the Pisgah Fire and Rescue Unit in Pisgah, Iowa and the Cedar Valley Hospice House in Waterloo, Iowa.
