Lila Mae King

Lila Mae King, 69, of Onawa, Iowa, passed away Saturday, August 10, 2024, at Burgess Health Center, Onawa, Iowa.

A memorial graveside service will be 10:00 A.M. Friday, August 16, 2024, at the Onawa Cemetery, Onawa, Iowa, with Darren C. E. Goslar, officiating. A recording of the service will be posted on the Goslar Funeral Home website with Lila’s obituary. Arrangements are under the direction of Goslar Funeral Home and Monuments, Onawa, Iowa.

Lila Mae was born January 1, 1955, in Onawa, Iowa, the daughter of Lyle and Mary (Funkhouser) King. She attended West Monona High School.

Lila was a housekeeper at the Super 8 Motel in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, for over twelve years.

She enjoyed watching T.V. shows and reading. Lila loved spending time with her family.

Survivors include her children, Amber (Ron) Miller of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and Tiffany McKinney of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; grandchildren, Taylor Dawn McKinney, and Morgan Love McKinney; brother, Lyle “Butch” King of Onawa, Iowa; sisters, Pam Vail of Loveland, Colorado and Elizabeth “Liz” King of Whiting, Iowa; nephew, Junnah Huntley of Onawa, Iowa; niece, Virgena “Gena” Dicks of Anthon, Iowa; brother-in-law, Ronnie “Doc” Huntley of Onawa, Iowa; and many other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Lyle and Mary (Funkhouser) King; sister, Julie Huntley; and brother, Terry King.
