Leon K. Parsley

Leon K. Parsley, 83, of Fremont, Nebraska passed away Thursday, June 20, 2024 at his home surrounded by his family.

A private family graveside memorial service will be held in the Little Sioux Township Cemetery, Smithland, Iowa. Arrangements are under the direction of Goslar Funeral Home and Monuments, Onawa, Iowa.

Leon was born January 18, 1941, in Castana, Iowa, the son of Warren and Alice (Lent) Parsley.

Leon and LuAnn Fritz were united in marriage on May 8, 1993, in Sloan, Iowa.

Survivors include his wife, LuAnn Parsley of Fremont, Nebraska; son, Jared (Becky) Parsley of Scottsdale, Arizonia; daughter, Tammy Summers-Markley of Papillion, Nebraska; bonus-son, Nate Fritz of Mapleton, Iowa; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and one arriving in October; sister, Cheryl Malloy of Sioux City, Iowa; brothers, Lance Parsley of Des Moines, Iowa; Gayland Parsley of Dakota Dunes, South Dakota; Marvin (Toni) Parsley of Omaha, Nebraska; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Warren and Alice (Lent) Parsley; granddaughters, Selah and Morgan; sister, Connie Davis; brothers, Dennis Parsley and Michael Parsley; and sister-in-law, Cheryl Parsley.
