Kerri Gray Obituary

Kerri Ann Gray, 50, of Castana, Iowa, passed away Monday, August 26, 2024, at Burgess Health Center, Onawa, Iowa.

A funeral service will be 10:30 A.M. Tuesday, September 3, 2024, at the Soldier Lutheran Church, Soldier, Iowa, with Pastor Paul Coen. A live stream of the service will be posted on the Goslar Funeral Home website with Kerri’s obituary. Burial will follow in the Soldier Lutheran Cemetery, Soldier, Iowa. A visitation will be 5:00 P.M. -7:00 P.M. Monday, September 2, 2024, with a prayer service at 7:00 P.M., led by Darren C. E. Goslar, at the Soldier Lutheran Church. Arrangements are under the direction of Goslar Funeral Home and Monuments, Onawa, Iowa.

Kerri Ann was born March 21, 1974, the daughter of James Gray, Patricia (Clemon) Miller, and Ronald Miller, in Onawa, Iowa. She attended East Monona High School and graduated with the class of 1992. Kerri later attended Western Iowa Tech Community College where she received her LPN in 2011 and her RN in 2015.

She enjoyed gardening, musicals, her favorite being “Grease”, and loved taking photos. Kerri’s dog Gordy meant a lot to her. Being a grandma was very special to Kerri.

She was a member of the Soldier Lutheran Church, Soldier, Iowa.

Survivors include her two daughters, Sara (Aaron) Folk of Templeton, Iowa, and Jennifer (Brock Nelson) Frank of Ute, Iowa; grandchild, Kysen Folk of Templeton, Iowa; father, Ronald (Cindy) Miller of Moorhead, Iowa; sister, Rebecca (William) Gangestad of Soldier, Iowa; nieces, Molly (Bryan) Savery of Onawa, Iowa, and Megan (Shane) Sorensen of Soldier, Iowa; great nephew and nieces, Greyson Savery, Amelia Savery, and Lilliana Sorensen; and other relatives, and friends.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Patricia “Pat” Miller; father, James Gray; maternal grandparents, Gordon and Ruth (Jensen) Clemon; paternal grandparents, Jack and Lois (Rolph) Miller, and Fern and Erma (McElwain) Gray; family dog, Gordy; and several aunts, uncles, other relatives, and friends.
