Keith Charles Carlson

Keith Charles Carlson, 62, of Turin, Iowa passed away Sunday, January 9, 2022 at Burgess Health Center, Onawa, Iowa.

A memorial service will be 10:30 A.M. Wednesday, January 19, 2022 at the First Christian Church, Onawa, Iowa with Elders Lonnie Campbell and Jack Gibler, officiating. Burial will follow at Belvidere Cemetery, Turin, Iowa. Arrangements are under the direction of Goslar Funeral Home and Monuments, Onawa, Iowa.

Keith Charles was born October 6, 1959, the son of Charles William and Geneva Minnie (Morrison) Carlson. He grew up on a farm near Turin, Iowa. Keith graduated from West Monona in 1978.

Keith and Robin Kotelowski were married January 14, 2000 in Onawa, Iowa. To this union two children were born, Emma and Audrey. Keith farmed on the family farm and raised cattle and swine. He also worked at Monona County Landfill and New Coop driving truck and spraying chemicals.

In his younger years, Keith enjoyed hunting and fishing. He loved watching the history channel and westerns. Keith was an avid Kansas City Chiefs fan.

Keith enjoyed visiting with all of his neighbors. He always had a dog as a pet companion by his side.

He was a member of the First Christian Church and a past deacon.

Survivors include his wife, Robin Kotelowski-Carlson of Onawa, Iowa; children, Emma Kotelowski-Carlson of Turin, Iowa, and Audrey Kotelowski-Carlson of Onawa, Iowa; mother-in-law, Marilyn (Connors) Kotel; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Geneva Carlson; father-in-law, Martin Kotel; sisters, Roma (George) Bonnes, and Mary (Bob) Woodward; and brothers, Kevin Carlson, and Leo (Virginia) Carlson.
