Julie Ann Huntley

Julie Ann Huntley, 66, of Onawa, Iowa passed away Saturday, November 5, 2022 at UnityPoint Health St. Luke’s, Sioux City, Iowa after a battle with cancer.

A funeral service will be 10:30 A.M. Thursday, November 10, 2022 at the Goslar Funeral Home Chapel, Onawa, Iowa with Elder Lonnie Campbell, officiating. A live stream of the service will be posted on the Goslar Funeral Home website with Julie’s obituary. Burial will follow in the Onawa Cemetery, Onawa, Iowa. A visitation will be 5:00 – 8:00 P.M. Wednesday, November 9, 2022 at the chapel. Arrangements are under the direction of Goslar Funeral Home and Monuments, Onawa, Iowa.

Julie was born June 16, 1956 in Onawa, Iowa the daughter of Lyle and Mary (Funkhouser) King. She graduated from Onawa High School in 1975.

Julie King and Ronnie “Doc” Huntley were united into marriage September 6, 1976 at the First Christian Church in Onawa. To this union one daughter was born, Virgena. She enjoyed her family very much and was a great housewife.

Julie enjoyed crocheting afghans, tending to her flowers, feeding her hummingbirds and wrens, and helping people. She loved politics. Julie enjoyed taking vacations in Galveston, Texas.

Julie was a member of the First Christian Church in Onawa.

Survivors include her husband, Ronnie “Doc” Huntley of Onawa, Iowa; daughter, Virgena Huntley of Anthon, Iowa; son, Junnah Huntley of Onawa, Iowa; brothers and sisters, Lyle King of Onawa, Iowa, Terry (Karen) King of Onawa, Iowa, Elizabeth “Liz” King of Whiting, Iowa, Lila Heilman of Onawa, Iowa, and Pam Vail of Loveland, Colorado; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary King; her father, Lyle King; and her grandparents.
