Judith "Judy" Joles

Judith “Judy” L. Joles, 79, of Onawa, Iowa passed away Saturday, February 19, 2022 at her residence.

A funeral service will be 10:00 A.M. Thursday, February 24, 2022 at the Goslar Funeral Home Chapel, Onawa, Iowa with Jack Gibler, officiating. Burial will follow in the Onawa Cemetery, Onawa, Iowa. Arrangements are under the direction of Goslar Funeral Home and Monuments, Onawa, Iowa.

Judy Lorene was born February 21, 1942 in Onawa, Iowa the daughter of Loren Harvey and Virginia Elenora (McClure) Herrington. The family grew up on a farm east of Mapleton, Iowa for four years. After moving from the farm, Judy grew up in Onawa. She attended school in Monona County. She went to California in her 20’s for a short time and worked for MaxFactor, then returned to Onawa for the remainder of her life. Judy retired from Cargill where she was the bookkeeper and office manager.

Family was everything to Judy. She loved spending time with all her loved ones. She also enjoyed road trips with her family and friends.

Survivors include her children, Stacy Lee Moore of Onawa, Iowa, David “Todd” (Jennifer) Moore of Onawa, Iowa, and Barbara Ann (Donald) Smith of Whiting, Iowa; grandchildren, Salina Collison, Bree (Jeremiah Sears) Collison, Justin (Carrie Coltfelter) Collison, Blake (Katie) Moore, Gabriel (Kasey) Moore, Logan (Emalee) Moore, Mindy (Jeremiah Fiegen) Stewart, and Wesson (Lindsey) Smith; great-grandchildren, Mason, Everly, Ada, Asher, Gracelyn, Rhett, Parker, Payton, Miah, Hudson, Alexis, Hope, Hayleigh, Gracie, and Deegan; nephew, Vince (Ann) Phillips; and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Loren and Virginia (McClure) Herrington; and sister, Hope Taylor.
