John John McPherson

John John Charles McPherson II, 55, of Sloan, Iowa, passed away unexpectedly July 23, 2024, at Burgess Health Center, Onawa, Iowa.

A memorial service will be 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, August 6, 2024, at the Skien Lutheran Church, Albaton, Iowa, with Pastor Catie Newman, officiating. A recording of the service will be posted on the Goslar Funeral Home website with John’s obituary. Burial will follow at the Fairview Township Cemetery, Albaton, Iowa. A visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Arrangements are under the direction of Goslar Funeral Home and Monuments, Onawa, Iowa.

John John was born April 22, 1969, in Sioux City, Iowa,  the son of John Charles McPherson I and Linda King. He attended South Sioux City Junior High and went to St. Sarah’s High School in California.

He worked as a junker/scraper and was a mechanic on motorcycles and vehicles.

John John enjoyed fishing, Harleys, monster trucks, and tinkering on vehicles. He was a great storyteller and good at telling jokes. John John loved animals, especially cats and pit bulls.

Survivors include his fiancé Brenda Kutzler of Albaton, Iowa; five children, Joshua (Miranda) Rysavy of South Sioux City, Nebraska, Vanessa (fiancé Louie Medina) Guerrero of Sioux City, Iowa, Andrew (Layna Pelkey) Pippitt of Aurora, Colorado, Tyler (Jalin Webb) McPherson of Sioux City, Iowa, and Chloe Alexander of Omaha, Nebraska; grandchildren, Carter, Amaya, Troy, Viriana, Julian, Damian, Enzo, Leonidas, and Orion; three sisters, Megan Cooper, Brandi Vandenberg, and Tami McPherson; and other relatives, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John Charles McPherson I and Linda King; son, Jessy Rysavy; and brother, Jimmy Barnett.
