Joel Aaron Nuzum

Joel Aaron Nuzum, 40, of Omaha, Nebraska passed away Sunday, March 20, 2022 in Elkhorn, Nebraska.

A funeral service will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday, March 26, 2022 at the Goslar Funeral Home Chapel, Onawa, Iowa with Pastor Chuck Snow, officiating. A live stream of the service will be posted on the Goslar Funeral Home website with Joel’s obituary. Burial will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Goslar Funeral Home and Monuments, Onawa, Iowa.

Joel Aaron was born January 30, 1982, the son of Lonnie Ray Nuzum and Pamela Sue (Andrews) McAndrews. He grew up in Moorhead, Iowa and attended school at Millard in Omaha, Nebraska. He graduated from Agua Fria High School in Avondale, Arizona. Joel went on to Trade School for Auto Body.

Joel and Amber were united into marriage June 21, 2014 in Blair, Nebraska. To this union one daughter was born, Cora.

He cherished all of his family, especially his daughter. Joel enjoyed fixing up the house, helping out family with odd jobs, swimming, camping, and karaoke. He was very witty and had a great sense of humor and a terrific smile. He would make everyone laugh.

Survivors include his wife, Amber Dawn Nuzum of Bellevue, Nebraska; his daughter, Cora Nuzum; parents, Lonnie (Bonnie) Nuzum, and Pamela (Joe) McAndrews; brothers, Justin Nuzum, Jade (Mindy) Nuzum, Jared Nuzum, and Jami (Fiancé Chen Fandagani) Nuzum; step-sisters, Nola (Doug) Rawls and Lacie (Ken) Pettigrew; grandparents, Darrell and Bev Andrews; and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews; cousins, other relatives, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents; Ernest (Erma) Nuzum, and Phil (Pauline) McAndrews; step-grandma, Ada Nuzum; and great-grandparents.
