Jimmie "Jim" Arlin Beaty

Jimmie “Jim” Arlin Beaty, 66, of Onawa, Iowa, passed away Wednesday, October 18, 2023, at Kinglsey Specialty Care, Kingsley, Iowa.

A memorial graveside service will be 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, October 24, 2023, at the Onawa Cemetery in Onawa, Iowa, with Father Michael Erpelding, Celebrant, officiating. A live stream of the service will be posted on the Goslar Funeral Home website with Jim’s obituary. Arrangements are under the direction of Goslar Funeral Home and Monuments, in Onawa, Iowa.

Jim Arlin was born September 3, 1957, in Sioux City, Iowa, the son of Allen Thomas and Y’Vonne Delores (Harmon) Beaty. He attended Walthill Public High School and graduated with the class of 1976.

Jim was a truck driver for J + J Metal Company in Onawa, Iowa, where he hauled many loads of pipe.

He enjoyed guns, hunting, and fishing. Jim enjoyed restoring old International tractors, even though he was legally blind.

Survivors include his son, Matt Beaty of Onawa, Iowa; sisters, Joyce Hittle of Lyons, Nebraska, Jackie Richards of Council Bluffs, Iowa, and Patty (Jeff) Hanson of Sioux City, Iowa; brothers, Larry (Rita) Beaty of Sergeant Bluff, Iowa and Garry (Sheri) Beaty of Sloan, Iowa, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Allen and Y’Vonne (Harmon) Beaty; brother, Joe Beaty; infant-sister, Mary Beaty; and brothers-in-law, David Hittle and Rich Richards.
