James "Jim" Anderson

James “Jim” Anderson, 64, of Whiting, Iowa, passed away, Monday, March 9, 2026 at Burgess Health Center, Onawa, Iowa.

Per James’ wishes, cremation has taken place and no services will be held at this time. Arrangements are under the direction of Goslar Funeral Home and Monuments, Onawa, Iowa.

James Lynn Anderson was born May 3, 1961 in Onawa, Iowa, the son of Gerald and Marlyn (Engstrom) Thompson Anderson. He went on to obtain his GED and then enlisted in the United States Army.

He worked as a mechanic for Joe Komarek for several years. Jim enjoyed metal detecting, fishing, sight-seeing, and watching war movies. He took great pride in caring for his daughter. Jim also ran a YouTube channel where he shared his interests.

Survivors include his former spouse, Tina Anderson of Whiting, Iowa.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Gerald and Marlyn (Engstrom) Thompson Anderson; and his daughter, Stephanie Anderson of Whiting, Iowa.
