Glenda (Gallup) Richardson

Glenda Kay (Gallup) Richardson, 69, of Whiting, Iowa passed away Wednesday, August 20, 2025 at CHI Health Mercy, Council Bluffs, Iowa.

A funeral service will be 10:00 A.M. Monday, August 25, 2025 at the Goslar Funeral Home Chapel, Onawa, Iowa with Kenneth Gray, officiating. A live stream of the service will be posted on the Goslar Funeral Home website with Glenda’s obituary. Burial will follow in the Hillcrest Cemetery, Decatur, Nebraska. A visitation will be 3:00 P.M. – 5:00 P.M. Sunday, August 24, 2025 at the Goslar Funeral Home Chapel in Onawa. Arrangements are under the direction of Goslar Funeral Home and Monuments, Onawa, Iowa.

Glenda Kay Gallup was born May 18, 1956 in Oakland, Nebraska, the daughter of Paul and Mary (Taylor) Gallup. She worked at Magic Depot for several years and enjoyed being with all of the children.

Glenda and Gordon Richardson were united into marriage on May 22, 1981 in Onawa. Glenda was baptized in 2014 as a member of the Jehovah’s Witnesses over nine million strong worldwide.

She loved spending time and playing games with friends, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Glenda enjoyed crocheting, video games, board games, and loved babysitting her great-grandchildren.

Survivors include her loving husband of forty-four years and three months, Gordon Richardson; five children, Charity Richardson, Amelia Richardson, Keith Richardson, Devin Richardson, and Jaydin Richardson; five grandchildren, Gage Wulf, Jayme Fox, Trenten Torticill, Gentrie Torticill, and Carter Torticill; two great-grandchildren, Emberleigh Jorgensen, and Kalvin Richardson; and numerous nieces and nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Mary (Taylor) Gallup; brother, Paul E. (Betty) Gallup; and niece, Paulette Hawley.
