Garry Fredrick Clark

Garry Fredrick Clark, 68, of Whiting, Iowa passed away on Sunday, October 2, 2022 at his residence in Whiting, Iowa.

A funeral service will be 10:30 A.M. Saturday, October 15, 2022 at the Whiting Christian Church, Whiting, Iowa with Pastor Josh Nink, officiating. A live stream of the service will be posted on Goslar Funeral Home website with Garry’s obituary. A visitation will be 9:00 A.M. – 10:30 A.M. Saturday, October 15, 2022 at the church. Burial will follow at the Whiting City Cemetery, Whiting, Iowa. Arrangements are under the direction of Goslar Funeral Home and Monuments, Onawa, Iowa.

Garry Fredrick Clark was born November 23, 1953 in Sioux City, Iowa, the son of Kenneth and Annetta (Scott) Clark.  He grew up in Whiting and graduated with the class of 1972 from Whiting High School.

Garry and Joyce Cartmil were united into marriage February 14, 1999.  Garry and his brother Larry worked for their dad in the Erosion Control Business, Clark Seeding. Garry worked with his brother Larry under Clark Construction together. Garry was the jack of all trades; he was a truck driver and mechanic for many years.

Garry enjoyed gardening, fishing, hunting, mushroom hunting, and playing pool. He enjoyed spending time with his daughters and grandchildren. Garry loved spending time with his friends at Buddy’s Tavern.

Survivors include his daughters, Hailey (Kenneth) Plaehn of Council Bluffs, Iowa, Karleigh (Jed) Johnson of Little Sioux, Iowa; grandchildren, Joselyn, Jordyn, Judson, Kennedy, and Lucas; stepchildren, Kelsey (Loren) Ruby of Valentine, Nebraska, Clint Clemon of Brainard, Nebraska, Laci Rehder Moore of Omaha, Nebraska, and Pat (Becky) Rehder of Plattsmouth, Nebraska; additional grandchildren, River, Nova, Avery, Camille, Austin, Alli, JayLynn, Laine, Jackson, Chase and Zoey; one brother, Harold Clark of Emerson, Nebraska; sister-in-law, Jannelle Clark of Whiting, Iowa; several other-in-laws, nieces and nephews; special friends including, Travis, AJ, Becky, Mark, Lyle, Luanne, Scotty, Tim, Mary, Charlie, Nick, Cassie, Kallie, and many more.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Annetta (Scott) Clark; his mother and father in-law, Clifford and Delores Cartmil; three brothers, Ival Clark, Ronnie Clark, and Larry Clark; nephew, Steven Clark; sister-in-law, Joann Clark; wife, Joyce Clark; and best friend, Curtis Richardson.
