Frances “Ann” Hall, 81, of Sloan, Iowa, passed away Tuesday, September 2, 2025 at her son’s home in Whiting, Iowa, surrounded by her family.
A private family memorial service will be held at the Goslar Funeral Home Chapel, Onawa, Iowa with Pastor Kody Killian, officiating. Burial will be at a later date at St. Joseph Cemetery, Salix, Iowa. Arrangements are under the direction of Goslar Funeral Home and Monuments, Onawa, Iowa.
Frances Ann was born May 3, 1944, in Sioux City, Iowa, the daughter of Wayne “Bud” and Irene (Holton) Parsley. She grew up in Sloan and graduated from Westwood High School with the class of 1962.
Ann and Terry Hall were united into marriage September 25,1964 in Sioux City, Iowa. To this union two boys were born, Todd and Matthew.
Ann dedicated over twenty years as an instructor for Weight Watchers and also took great pride in raising her family. She had a passion for collecting dolls and collected more than 1,000 dolls over the years, often sewing, designing, and creating pieces for them. Very active in the Sioux City doll club, Ann found joy in sharing this hobby with others. Above all, she cherished spending time with her grandchildren and loved attending their school activities and sporting events.
Survivors include her husband, Terry Hall of Sloan, Iowa; son, Matthew (Glori) Hall of Whiting, Iowa; grandchildren, Hannah (Zach) Greder of Sloan, Iowa, Jacob (Mykenzie) Hall of Sloan, Iowa, Emma (Jaxon) Lutt of Sloan, Iowa, and Sarah Hall of Whiting, Iowa; great-grandchildren, Hazley and Brecken Hall, Graham Greder, and Everly Lutt; sister, Jan Quesnell of Las Vegas, Nevada; sister-in-law, Charis (Jim) Lloyd of Sloan, Iowa; brother-in-law, Kent (Joanne) Hall of Phoenix, Arizona; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Wayne “Bud” and Irene (Holton) Parsley; son, Todd Hall; two brothers, Richard Parsley and Scott Parsley; sister-in-law, Linda (Donald) Copple; niece, Jody Copple; and nephew, Wesley Lloyd.
