Dennis M. Rush

Dennis McClellan Rush, 70, of Climax Springs, Missouri, formerly of Omaha, Nebraska, and Albaton, Iowa, passed suddenly Saturday, October 7, 2023 at his residence. 

A celebration of his life will be held at 12:00 P.M. (Noon) Saturday, October 14, 2023 at Red Fox, Climax Springs, Missouri. A memorial graveside service will be 11:30 A.M. on Friday, November 17, 2023, at Fairview Township Cemetery, Albaton, Iowa. Arrangements are under the direction of Goslar Funeral Home and Monuments, Onawa, Iowa.

Dennis was born February 17, 1953, in Sioux City, Iowa to Douglas M. and Doris L. (Cooley) Rush. He graduated from Lawton Bronson High School in 1971 and from Briar Cliff University later in life. Denny worked at Terra Chemical and CF Industries as a maintenance supervisor from 1971 until retiring in 2012. He and his wife, Janet have been residents of Climax Springs, Missouri, since 2014.

He married Julie Jorgensen and to this union a son, Jason McClellan was born. He later married Connie Moore. After her death he married Janet Herde on July 19, 2011.

Survivors include his wife Janet of Climax Springs, Missouri; her three children and grandchildren; two brothers, Dale L. of Sioux City, Iowa, and Douglas D. of Climax Springs, Missouri; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and his two last surviving aunts, Phyllis De Wolfe of Sioux City, Iowa, and Lorraine Rush of Osborn, Missouri.

Denny was preceded in death by his parents, son Jason, and his former wives.
