Delores Elaine Mungaray

Delores Elaine Mungaray, 92, of Elkhorn, Nebraska, formerly of Onawa, Iowa and Anchorage, Alaska, passed away, Wednesday, May 7, 2025, at CHI Health Lakeside Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska.

A private family graveside service will be held in the Onawa Cemetery, Onawa, Iowa.  Arrangements are under the direction of Goslar Funeral Home and Monuments, Onawa, Iowa.

Delores Elaine was born February 24, 1933, in Onawa, Iowa, the daughter of Maurice and Doris (Hodges) Jividen.  She grew up in Onawa, Iowa and graduated from Onawa High School in 1951.

Delores and Ruben Edmund Mungaray were united in marriage on February 14, 1975, in Tucson, Arizona.

She worked for Northwestern Bell in Onawa, Iowa, and continued with the phone company in Anchorage, Alaska, from 1960 – 1991.

The couple moved to Elkhorn, Nebraska, in 2018.

She was a member of the Prospectors Travel Club in Anchorage, Alaska and enjoyed many trips to several countries.

Survivors include her husband, Ruben Mungaray of Elkhorn, Nebraska; sister, Maurine Paseka; and niece, Valerie (HC) Palmer of Lenexa, Kansas.
