Cheryl “Cherri” Lynn Richardson, 65, of Blencoe, Iowa, passed away unexpectedly, Sunday, April 9, 2023, at her residence.
A Celebration of Life Service will be 7:00 P.M. Friday, April 14, 2023, at the Goslar Funeral Home Chapel, Onawa, Iowa, with Pastor Catie Newman, officiating. A visitation will be 5:00 – 7:00 P.M. Friday, April 14, 2023, at the chapel. A private family burial will occur in the Whiting City Cemetery, Whiting, Iowa. Arrangements are under the direction of Goslar Funeral Home and Monuments, Onawa, Iowa.
Cheryl Lynn was born January 17, 1958, in San Francisco, California, the daughter of Tommy and Marlene (Reed) Richardson. She grew up in Whiting, Iowa, and graduated with the class of 1976. After high school, she attended college and received a degree in education. She worked at the Monona County Arboretum and enjoyed working there for a few years. Cherri later taught biology and science for fourteen years at West Monona.
She was married to Rick Archer in 1976, to this union three children were born Chris, Todd, and Cody. The couple were later divorced.
Cherri enjoyed gardening; she had a green thumb. Cherri enjoyed animals especially horses, in her younger years she enjoyed Barrell Racing. She loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her children, Chris Archer of Onawa, Iowa, and Cody Archer of Onawa, Iowa; grandchildren, Lakin, Charlee, Rowen, and Jaxson; and many other family members, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Tom Richardson; and son, Todd Archer.
