Carol Newgard Beall

Carol Newgard Beall, 83, of Palm Coast, Florida passed on June 4, 2026. 

A private family memorial service will be held with burial at Spring Valley Cemetery, Moorhead, Iowa. Arrangements are under the direction of Heritage Funeral Services, Bunnell, Florida and Goslar Funeral Home and Monuments, Onawa, Iowa. 

Carol was born October 17, 1942 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, the daughter of John and Vurla (Skildum) Newgard. Carol graduated from South High School in Minneapolis. After taking several business classes, Carol started working for the U. S. Postal Department in Minneapolis. Carol Newgard and Nelson Beall were married on March 3, 1968 in St. Paul, Minnesota. They moved to rural St. Michael, Minnesota to raise a family - Lance, Connie and Bonnie. With the family grown, Carol returned to work and became the City Clerk of St. Michael. Carol had a strong faith in God and loved her church families. She enjoyed reading, music, a good “deal” and time with family and friends.

Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Nelson Beall; son, Lance (Linda Dehmer) Beall; daughters, Connie Beall and Bonnie (Michael) Hammer; grandchildren, Evalyn (Nate Adamich) Beall, Kelli (Daniel) Arntzen, Macie Beall, Wylie Beall and Lydia Hammer; sisters, Vurnell Cobbey, Catherine (Palmer) Yngsdal; and brother, Robert (Karen Wilson) Newgard.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents, John and Vurla (Skildum) Newgard; parents-in-law, Cloyce and Amy (Swanson) Beall; three brothers-in-law, Elwood Jacobsen, Maxwell Cobbey, and Roger Beall; and sister-in-law, Ruth (Hadden) Beall.
