Betty Ann Golden

Betty Ann Golden, 91, of Onawa, Iowa passed away Wednesday, February 19, 2025 at Burgess Health Center, Onawa, Iowa. 

A memorial service will be 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, March 5, 2025 at the Goslar Funeral Home Chapel with Darren C. E. Goslar, officiating. A live stream of the service will be posted on the Goslar Funeral Home website with Betty’s obituary. Burial will follow in the Kennebec Cemetery, Castana, Iowa. Arrangements are under the direction of Goslar Funeral Home and Monuments, Onawa, Iowa. 

Betty Ann was born April 26, 1933 in Onawa, Iowa, the daughter of Everett and Ethel (Earlywine) Conyers. She attended Onawa High School. 

Betty and Harlan Golden were united into marriage in 1949 at Onawa, Iowa. To this union three children were born, Mike, Rick, and Debra. The couple enjoyed farming for many years and when Harlan retired they moved to Palm Springs, California. In her younger years, Betty enjoyed being in a bowling league. Harlan passed away October 23, 2012 in Palm Springs, California. 

Betty worked for Rancho Mirage as a security guard for many years in California. She enjoyed going to the casino and attending the dog racetrack. 

Survivors include her children, Mike (Donna) Golden of Castana, Iowa, and Debra Golden Wood; two grandchildren, Christy Zimmerman Cole of Mapleton, Iowa, and Brandon (Casey) Golden of Mapleton, Iowa; eight great-grandchildren, Kevin (Jessica) Zimmerman, Torey (Tosha) Zimmerman, Katie Zimmerman, Brent Golden, Cameron (Robin) Golden, Darin (Morgan Wulf) Golden, Aiden Golden, and Ellie Golden; and many other relatives and friends. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Everett and Ethel (Earlywine) Conyers; husband, Harlan Dale Golden; son, Harlan “Rick” Golden, Jr.; brother, Donald Conyers; and sister, Janet Ambrose.
