Angie DeRoin, 50, of Sloan, Iowa passed away Sunday, May 21, 2023,at Burgess Health Center, Onawa, Iowa.
A celebration of life service will be 5:00 P.M. Saturday, May 27, 2023, at the Community Church of Christ, Sloan, Iowa with Pastor Kody Killian, officiating. Live stream will be posted on the Goslar Funeral Home website with Angie’s obituary. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church, May 27, 2023. Arrangements are under the direction of the Goslar Funeral Home and Monuments, Onawa, Iowa.
Angie was born July 25, 1972, in Sioux City, Iowa, the daughter of Chuck and Connie (Bulit) Rasmussen. She grew up in the Ponca, Nebraska area and went to grade school in Willis, Nebraska. Angie graduated from Ponca High School with the class of 1990. Angie worked at St. Luke’s Hospital in Sioux City, Iowa as a Radiology office coordinator for over twenty-seven years. She was a proud operator for the Sloan Pizza Post since 2019.
Angie and Brad DeRoin were united into marriage November 16, 1999, in Jackson, Nebraska.
Angie loved spending time with her family, especially her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed watching the girls play softball, watching the Hallmark Channel, and drinking Pepsi. Angie enjoyed casino nights with Brad and the kids. She was always willing to help anyone out and was extremely selfless.
Survivors include her father, Chuck (Doris) Rasmussen of Sloan, Iowa; husband, Brad DeRoin of Sloan, Iowa; children, Treff (Elisabet) DeRoin of Jackson, Nebraska, Tami (Robert) Kibby of LeMars, Iowa, Jake DeRoin of Sioux City, Iowa, Tanner (Amanda Johnson) DeRoin of Sloan, Iowa, Carley (Bradley) Steinhoff of Oto, Iowa, and Aryanna DeRoin of Sloan, Iowa; grandchildren, Katherine DeRoin, Alivia DeRoin, Lorelai DeRoin, Liam DeRoin, Logan Kibby, Brianna Kibby, Mya Kibby, Aidan DeRoin, Addisyn Kibby, Annabelle Kibby, Braden DeRoin, Paizley Steinhoff, and baby Steinhoff on the way; three sisters, Julie (Matt) Swanger of Sloan, Iowa, Brenda (Jesse) Duerksen of Salix, Iowa, and Sheri (Jim) McCluskey of Salix, Iowa; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Connie Rasmussen, brother, Corey Rasmussen, and brother-in-law, Corey Lyon.
